Submitted personal data is stored solely for administrative purposes. Submitter details such as name and email address are saved on the individual submission or exhibition level. They are never publicly displayed or shared and serve only as a minimal control mechanism for verifying submissions.
Submissions are also forwarded via email to the website operator through the official mail server of contemporaryartswitzerland.com and stored in the backend of the website, which is powered by ProcessWire CMS.
Third-Party Services
When exhibitions are published, submitted images are automatically tagged using the OpenAI API to improve our search and filter functionality. No personal data is transmitted to OpenAI — only the image files are processed for visual analysis.
Legal Basis
We process personal data based on your consent or for the performance of a task in the public interest — namely, maintaining an accurate and reliable archive of contemporary art exhibitions in Switzerland.
Data Retention
Submitted data is retained for as long as necessary for administrative and archival purposes or until a valid deletion request is made.

Hosting and Technical Infrastructure
All website data is hosted securely and stored within our self-managed ProcessWire system. No external Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) are used — all assets are served locally.
Ads
We display a limited number of manually curated, unpersonalized ads. These ads are selected from a pool maintained by us and are shown based on priority and price settings. No tracking or personal profiling is used to deliver these ads. Read more about our ad placements.
