Exhibition: "«SBANDARE» at Sonnenstube"
Curated by Giada Olivotto, the exhibition "«SBANDARE» at Sonnenstube" features works by Adrien Chevalley, Noemi Pfister, Margherita Raso, and Marco Rigoni. The collection of images and forms in the artworks evokes a sense of nostalgia and recrimination, similar to the pain in one's hair. The artists' productions add depth to the corecore, not just in aesthetic terms but in a shared perception of reality, whether material or digital.
The exhibition opens with Margherita Raso's "Transcript," a work that reflects a code digested by a Jacquard loom, leaving behind blue threads as evidence of its operation. Adjacent to it is Marco Rigoni's "A Fateful Rendezvous (Tartan trousers, Beers and poison voices)," which draws inspiration from unknown texts and the misunderstood words of a film character.
Adrien Chevalley's "Canards" celebrates the simplicity of ducks assuming funny positions to feed, while Noemi Pfister's drawings depict a parallel or dystopian future where mutations and suspended time coexist. Chevalley's "Vevey - Lugano" series of ceramic bas-reliefs invite viewers into a dream world where figures inhabit familiar yet different places, creating a collective narrative.
The exhibition showcases a gathering of contributions that share common interests, moods, lifestyles, and dislikes, echoing the Roman capitalis monumentalis style. It offers a hopeful slide into a realm of imagination and collective consciousness, challenging viewers to contemplate a future different from the present.
