Priscilla Predator: geboren, leben, sterben, 2025, an automated theater play, 32 minutes voiced by Emma Blanc-Germser, Eulalie Félix, Christine Guenther, Ludovico Orombelli, Nicolas Ponce. [DE] Dialog zwischen Auguste Rodin und Hans Arp

Die Ausstellung bringt das bahnbrechende Schaffen von Auguste Rodin und Hans Arp in Dialog und verknüpft das Werk des großen Wegbereiters der modernen Bildhauerei mit dem einflussreichen Œuvre eines Protagonisten der abstrakten Skulptur. Assoziationen zwischen Weib und Landschaft, Behältnissen und Frau werden aufbereitet, während ein Gefühl der Unstimmigkeit und Utopie in einer Coming-of-Age Geschichte thematisiert wird.

Die Suche nach sich selbst und einem gelingenden Miteinander wird als Legitimation für Grenzen und Wege dargestellt. Priscilla muss ihre Geschenke auspacken, wobei der Zwang zur Dankbarkeit und Bringschuld thematisiert wird. Der Schrottplatz digitaler Kultur wird als Ort betrachtet, an dem emotionale Zustände im spätkapitalistischen Alltag fühlbar gemacht werden. Trotz der Ideologie des freien Marktes entsteht eine Gemeinschaft, die sich von Hans Arps Annäherung an die weibliche Essenz befreit fühlt.

[EN] Dialogue between Auguste Rodin and Hans Arp

The exhibition brings Auguste Rodin and Hans Arp into dialogue, pairing the ground-breaking work of modern sculpture’s great precursor with the influential work of a major protagonist of abstract sculpture. Discomfort and utopian longing are normalized in the context of a coming-of-age story. The need for support in searching for oneself and meaningful coexistence is highlighted, along with the concept of shared belongings and gratitude.

The scrapyard of digital culture is explored as a space where emotions in late-capitalist life are made palpable. Despite the influence of the free market ideology, a sense of community emerges, liberating individuals from traditional approaches to female essence. The exhibition is accompanied by a magazine featuring text contributions by various authors, to be released during the finissage.
